Comments:  In the images below you can see when we drop the color from the images the grade for this coin is about right.  The color isn't right for most graders to give it any eye appeal bonus, but without the color it is obvious that the coin has some bag damage.

We think this is one of those coins stored in a New Orleans vault where moisture was definitely at play for a long time.  This is reinforced by our having more than one coin in this grade that is also heavily toned.  We also like this coin because it does not try to be flashy and speaks to a long life in a mint bag in some dark place.

The color in this coin is probably second and third cycle with cyan, blue, burgundy, and magenta all present.  It has the placement and overall blotchiness that goes with moisture.

We like the color because it seems true to the coin and conditions.  It will not make anyone's monster toned list, but it is a better instructional coin.
