VAM:  19 - Doubled 1-1 & Profile

Comments:  This coin gets no style points and we did not include it in our toned group.  It has primarily water staining with just a little color on the obverse at 1 o'clock.  On the reverse all the color is either terminal (black) or just discoloration from oxidation.

In our opinion the coin is not well struck and many of the features on the devices appear flat.  But the coin is free of major bag marks and it is uncirculated.  We understand how the grade was determined, we just have seen better examples.

VAM 19 does not have a lot of features and it is the doubling of the two 1s in almost an identical fashion that helps with the identification.  The doubled profile seals the deal, but the 1s are the primary feature.
