VAM:  54 - Doubled Right 1 Bottom, O Set Left

Comments:  Assuming the reflectivity captured by the camera does not lie, and it rarely does, then this is most likely a proof-like or deep mirror proof-like coin.  The reflectivity in contrast to the devices is obvious and we would argue the point with PCGS.

 

But the MS62 grade is right with many small nicks and dings from bag storage.  Since the coin has no color we would assume it was stored in an area that was protected from the moisture we see on many New Orleans coins.

 

VAM 54 is one of our discovery VAMs and is proving to be quite common is the PL and DMPL categories.  Apparently most of the coins never made it out of the Mint until the final releases and were stored away from the elements.
