57 - Doubled Ear Right Inside, O Set Left

Discovered in 2015 by John Baumgart on our coin

Obverse Hub III2 Die 38

The ear is slightly doubled at the right inside and at the earlobe bottom.  Slightly doubled 1.  Slight roughness at the base of the I in LIBERTY.  Just a few lines in LIBERTY.

 

Reverse Hub C3 Die l

The O mint mark is set slightly left with the middle of the eagle's right wing over-polished.  No roughness between 2 & 3 tail feathers.
